Receipts: Real Is Boring. All Three Breaks Passed the Next-Day Test. The Banks Didn’t. (Tuesday, September 22, 2026)
The paperwork behind Tuesday night’s video, on YouTube and TikTok. Recorded after the close on Tuesday, September 22. Every number below has the day it was true and where it came from. Where a number came from a news outlet or a data vendor and not a government page, it says so. Two corrections are owned at the bottom.

Bitcoin
Still above 82,814 the next day, that’s the ceiling since May, broken
Held. Tuesday’s low was 85,059 on Coinbase (85,159 on Yahoo’s feed), more than 2,200 above the line. Never within 2,000 of it all day.
A close under 55.44 on a day rates are falling: a desk checks whether loans are going bad
Broke. Closed 54.80, day low 54.55, down 1.97% from Monday’s 55.90. Rates did not fall (the ten-year sat still), which the video says out loud. The loans check was done anyway (below).
Yahoo Finance XLF. The fund went ex-dividend Monday ($0.19654), so Tuesday’s drop is not a dividend artifact: XLF dividend history
Two-year sale
More hands, the ten-year eases; a tail, and the ten-year can turn back toward 5
A tail, a tiny one. The ten-year reached about 4.98 at the sale and never made 5; it closed about 4.96 because oil pulled harder. Details below.

Your oil chart switched months today. The October contract stopped trading. Every month, about three business days before the twenty-fifth, the old month stops
CME’s rule for WTI: trading terminates three business days before the 25th calendar day of the month before the contract month. September 25, 2026 is a Friday, so October’s last day was Tuesday, September 22. Reuters: “the October contract, which expires on Tuesday.”
A promise to take delivery of a thousand barrels of actual oil
One WTI contract is 1,000 barrels, physically delivered at Cushing, Oklahoma.

The new month is about five bucks cheaper. The scare is in the front
October’s last print on Yahoo’s feed was 95.21 (Reuters reported the final October settlement at 94.99); November closed 89.85. Gap: about $5.36 on the feed, $5.14 on the settlement. The nearer month priced higher than the farther one is what “the scare is in the front” means.

The president said the country over there has a choice: make a deal, or, his word, annihilate. Right after the speech he told reporters his people had sat with their side for three hours, and he expects a deal right after the election
At the UN General Assembly, September 22: “…or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic, and do it quickly?” Afterward, to reporters: his envoys had met Iran’s delegation for about three hours, “a very good meeting,” and “I believe we’ll make a deal right after the election because it doesn’t make sense for them not to.” The election is the November 3 midterm.
November crude popped from about 91.15 to 91.86 during the speech (around 10:40 AM Eastern), then fell for the rest of the day to a 3:30 PM low of 88.67. The day’s high, 93.84, printed overnight at about 3 AM, before the speech.

The biggest bank in the country announced a twenty-billion-dollar partnership yesterday. Today its stock fell three percent
Qatar Investment Authority and J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced a $20 billion strategic partnership on Monday, September 21. JPMorgan Chase closed 352.04 Monday and 340.00 Tuesday, down 3.42%.
The AI product from last night. Today everybody figured out what it does. It moves your cash to whoever pays the most, switches your insurance, cancels subscriptions. Your bank, your broker, your insurance company, your gym. Every one of them went down
Reuters and Bloomberg attributed Tuesday’s selloff in banks, brokers, insurers and subscription businesses to Meta’s “Muse” AI agent, which can move cash to higher-yield accounts, switch insurers and cancel subscriptions for the user, after it overtook ChatGPT in iPhone downloads. Tuesday’s closes: Charles Schwab down 6.11%, Wells Fargo down 3.92%, Morgan Stanley down 2.88%, Allstate down 5.50%, Planet Fitness down 9.46%.
The gap between the ten-year and the two-year is about two tenths of a percent, the thinnest since the spring of last year
Treasury’s official rows: ten-year 4.96, two-year 4.71 on Tuesday, a gap of 0.25 (Monday: 0.20). Reuters reported the live spread hit its flattest since March 2025 during Tuesday’s session, under 0.18 at the low. On the Treasury series, Monday’s 0.20 matched the March 3, 2025 low; nothing between March 2025 and September 2026 was thinner.

The outside money. Last time, sixty-six percent. Today, fifty-eight
$69 billion two-year note, September 22: indirect bidders 57.79%. August 25: 66.01%. The prior four: 56.59% (July), 55.45% (June), 57.55% (May), 56.48% (April). Treasury defines an indirect bidder as a customer bidding through a dealer; that includes foreign central banks and big domestic funds, so it is the outside-money number, not a count of foreign buyers.
It sold at 4.787. The price everybody was quoting right before the sale, 4.785. A tail. A tiny one
High yield 4.787%, the highest at a two-year auction since June 2023. The when-issued yield at the 1 PM deadline was 4.785%, so the auction tailed by 0.2 hundredths of a percent, as reported.

Tokyo’s been closed on holiday all week. It opens Thursday, the same day their rate hike kicks in
The Tokyo Stock Exchange was closed September 21 (Respect for the Aged Day), September 22 (a bridge holiday) and September 23 (Autumnal Equinox Day); trading resumes Thursday, September 24. The Bank of Japan voted 7 to 2 on September 18 to raise its policy rate to 1.25%, effective September 24.

1. The video says the biggest bank’s stock had its worst day since February. That line came from a wire recap. The daily closes show a larger drop on July 29, 2026 (down 3.53%), so Tuesday’s 3.42% was the worst day since July 29, not since February.
2. The video gives Bitcoin’s Tuesday low as 85,150 and “almost 2,400 over the line.” The low was 85,059 on Coinbase and 85,159 on Yahoo’s feed, which is 2,245 to 2,345 over 82,814. The test the video describes, whether price held above the line the next day, is unchanged by either number.
