Receipts: They Cleaned Up for the Picture. Inflation Under the Guess, the Ten-Year at 5.29, Every Index at Its Low, and the Line on Every Chart for Thursday. (Wednesday, September 30, 2026)

The paperwork behind Wednesday night’s video, on YouTube and TikTok. Recorded Wednesday night, September 30, after the close, looking into Thursday, October 1. Every number below has the day it was true and where it came from. Where a number came from a news outlet or a data vendor and not a government page or an exchange, it says so. Six clarifications are owned at the bottom.

What the earlier videos said, and what Wednesday did with it

What was said, and whenWednesday, September 30Source
Tuesday night: “Lower than the guess, the lenders ease up, funds sell dollars, and the index backs away from the line.”Half of it fired. August PCE came in at +0.3% for the month against a 0.4% forecast (core +0.2% against 0.3%; 3.4% over the year against 3.7%). The dollar index’s low of the day, 101.03, printed in the 8:30 AM five-minute bar. Out under 158.05; “the words are a leash, not a fence”; under 156.93, the governments won the round.Overnight the pair fell to 156.37 (the 10:15 PM Tuesday bar, Eastern) after Japan’s finance minister said an undervalued yen is problematic and the ministry would keep close communication with the U.S. Treasury, on top of Monday’s remarks from the top currency diplomat. No intervention was reported. By the New York close it was back to 157.34. Thursday’s lines, for the record

The ten-year, 5.29%, on treasury.gov. The Dow, 50,906, Wednesday’s close and the low of the quarter. The Nasdaq 100, 30,081, Monday’s low. Bitcoin, 82,814. Oil, 94.64. Euro-dollar, 1.1312. Dollar-yen, 158.05 and 156.93. The rules for each are in the video; the override is a handshake over the strait or an escalation.

Six clarifications

1. “Highest since November of 2023” for the mortgage rate is Mortgage News Daily’s daily index at 7.60%. Its archive shows the November 1, 2023 reading above 7.60 and November 2 below it, so the phrase stands; “a three-year high” would not, because October 2023 was over 8%.

2. “Right at 8:30 and wrong by 3:45” describes the index’s low and high bars. The low was 101.026 in the 8:30 AM five-minute bar and the high 101.527 in the 3:45 PM bar; the 5 PM print was 101.45. Yahoo’s finalized row for Tuesday reads 101.37 where Tuesday’s video, built from intraday bars, said 101.39.

3. The fifty-dollar IOU is a worked example with round numbers, not a quote. Fifty on a thousand is 5.0%; fifty on nine hundred fifty is about 5.3%.

4. Bitcoin’s Monday low differs by venue, 82,571 on Yahoo’s UTC day and 82,510 on Coinbase; both are under 82,814 and both days closed back over it. The chart in the video carries no Monday number for that reason.

5. “71 out of 100” was not said; the video says “the prices part of it read 71, where 50 is even.” The ISM index is a diffusion index (the share reporting higher prices plus half the share reporting no change), not a headcount.

6. The chip company “raised its forecast” was not said; it issued first-quarter guidance above the consensus estimate. The after-hours reaction quoted is as of 6 PM Eastern Wednesday; the overnight futures reaction came after the video was recorded.
